Egregor · about what it is, and what it is notEgregor is a live map of what things cost where, and how sure we are. Each Egregor price comes from many readings (people on the spot, receipts, and public sources) weighed by how fresh they are, how precise, and how reliable the reporter has been. You see the number and its spread. From where you stand, it shows the cheapest places to buy and what the trip costs; where a real buyer exists (a marketplace or a wholesaler) it shows what an item bought here and sold there is apparently worth after fees and shipping.
Egregor publishes statistical price estimates, built from readings contributed by people and automated sensors. Estimates carry uncertainty and may be wrong, stale, or absent. Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation, or a commitment by any merchant, landlord, or agent named on it, and nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax, or real-estate advice. Arbitrage routes are arithmetic performed on estimates and on cost assumptions you can change; they do not account for your taxes, permits, licenses, or the legality of resale where you are. Verify a price with the seller before you act on it. Readings you submit, including their location and time, are published as part of the public evidence behind an Egregor price. By contributing you grant Egregor a license to publish and redistribute that reading as data. We revoke contributor standing for readings we judge false or manipulated. Homes. Comparable-block prices are a market estimate from public and contributed readings. Not an appraisal, not a valuation, not a broker's opinion of value.
Freshness. Every price carries the age of its evidence. An old one is drawn faded on purpose: if it looks uncertain, it is.
