How this works, and what Egregor is not

Egregor is a live map of what things cost where, and how sure we are. Each Egregor price comes from many readings (people on the spot, receipts, and public sources), weighed by how fresh they are, how precise, and how reliable the reporter has been. You see the number and its spread. From where you stand, it shows the cheapest places to buy and what the trip costs; where a real buyer exists (a marketplace or a wholesaler) it shows what an item bought here and sold there is apparently worth after fees and shipping. Add a reading in two taps; the map gets sharper every time someone does.

What Egregor is not

Not a quote.An Egregor price is an estimate, with an uncertainty attached: not an offer, not a reservation; nobody is bound to it.

Not advice.Not financial, investment, legal, tax, or real-estate advice. Routes are arithmetic on estimates, not a recommendation to trade.

Not a guarantee of availability.A cheap price on the map does not mean the item is in stock or that the store will sell it to you at that price.

Not private.A reading you submit becomes public data on the map and in the evidence behind an Egregor price. Your identity does not; your contributions do.
